3 Potential Weekend-Busting Scenarios & How to Handle Them

Hey OhYeah! Family!

It’s that time again, and it happens every week! You can practically hear people singing out “TGIF” everywhere you go! For most people, Friday means it’s time to let loose, get off your normal schedule, and have fun! Why not, you deserve it right? Right and wrong! You absolutely deserve to have a fun weekend, but you deserve MORE to take care of yourself! Here are my tips for handling 3 weekend scenarios while maintaining your healthy and fit body.

A night out with the OhYeah! ladies in Vegas during Olympia weekend

Scenario #1: Getting frustrated when out to eat with friends that aren’t on the “healthy train”

TIP: If you usually order a cheeseburger and a beer, then don’t get mad at your friends when they ask why you’re ordering a salad and a turkey sandwich. Make sure your friends know how excited you are about the new, healthy you! As friends, they should be supportive of you. So order a skinny margarita and enjoy the time with friends and that new un-bloated body!

Scenario #2: One Drink, Two Drink, Three Drink, FLOOR! (or wrecking your body by going overboard on your night out)

TIP: Speaking of that skinny margarita, how many of you stick to just having one when you’re out on the weekend? Don’t let all of your hard work from the week be ruined by a headache the next day. Take the amount you usually drink and split that in half. Between each drink, have a water with lots of lemon and lime in it. You don’t have to give up your favorite drink cold turkey, and your body will definitely thank you on Monday when you still have motivation to go to the gym!

Don’t forget to burn some extra calories by dancing to your favorite DJ mixes and sculpt your legs at the same time with your favorite heels!

Scenario #3: Not getting enough sleep on the weekend

TIP: Your body loves you during the week because you are on a schedule: waking up the same time, working out, eating healthy, going to bed on time! During the weekend, you know you will be a little off your sleep schedule, so promise yourself to have a nap sometime in there! The ill effects of sleep deprivation may not show itself Saturday or Sunday, but I’ve noticed that it loves to show up on Monday mornings! When sleep deprivation moves in, motivation and will power can quickly go out the door. Three words: Rest. Your. Body.

What do you do on the weekends to help you stay on track? I would love to know little tricks you all do! Leave a comment to share!
